Her superhero name was Spirit Dancer, and her power was linked with mythology (largely made up by me, of course): she could summon a mythical spirit which would lend her its powers (such as a fire salamander giving her the power to control fire, or a water nymph the power to control water, etc.) but make her look slightly like it (and therefore like a freak). She could only use one at a time, and the more of the spirit's power she used, the more like it she looked. The only spirit she could summon as a separate entity (and therefore, at the same time as another inside her) was her guardian spirit, which I, for lack of creativity, had temporarily dubbed just "Guardian". It was a pretty original idea, and I think I should do something with it... eventually...
