Drawn on: 2-26-08 | The last time I drew Janus, a character of mine from The Magic Kingdom, he looked way too old. He's supposed to be about 13 and a tad on the late-blooming side. Now this time, one of my friends thinks he looks the right age and the other one thinks he looks a few years too young. *sigh* I know his feet look awful, especially his right one (the viewer's left). I had no reference for that foot, and even though I had a ref for the other one, I just suck at drawing feet. (This is what I get for making his character design barefoot--and making that somewhat important.) Originally, he also was supposed to have sharper-edged eyes and a smaller mouth, but as I wrote him, he seemed too much like Shino, too outgoing and loud, and somewhat crass, so I had to give him a wide mouth just because. I think wide mouths go perfectly with those kinds of characters.
