He's covering his right side particularly well because he has silvery-white scales running down the side of his neck, covering his shoulder, and running down his back (as well as on his right hand). Those are a pretty dead giveaway of dragon blood, so he covers them. The only sign he leaves visible is his dragon eye; if you look, you can see his eyes are different. Just no one seems to notice that in smaller pictures.
