Drawn on: 12-28-09 | This was the original new picture of my CER character Fay Lan that I was going to color. I got through her hair and skin and, by randomness, went making layers invisible until I just had her hair. That's when it dawned on me that the hair was the only thing in this picture that looked good. So, though I kept this lineart, I'm not coloring it. I kept my colored hair and worked from there on a new, digitally-drawn picture.Because I wanted to do the downcast eyes/eyelashes, this picture really doesn't capture the essence of her fire the way the final digital picture does. The trick to getting that right feel for Fay Lan has always been the eyes.
