Drawn on: 5-13-09 | It's not exactly a self-portrait--it's a self-chibi. I needed a new one for my about me page, since the one I've been using I drew in... um... 2005, I think. Yeah. It's a wee bit old. Anyway, this chibi was absolutely adorable on paper, but it's not quite as cute scanned, for some reason. It's not quite true to myself. I do have hair like that, and the glasses, and I tried to get the colors as right as I could in the colored version. The shoes are similar enough, mine are black and red, I just didn't bother looking at them for a reference or even really trying that hard to make them match. The rest of the outfit, however... I wish I had something like that. I can barely find jeans long enough for my legs. I have yet to find a pair of cargo pants long enough to not look stupid, let alone long enough to drag awesomely like those. And the shirt/bodice combo is just awesome. Like I said, I wish. But I don't really have the body for it anyway. One good thing about chibis: people can accuse you of stretching your own looks only so much. It's a chibi. Of course the proportions aren't like my own. *grin* Miss my long legs though... those troublesome legs no one makes pants long enough to cover. >:P
