Drawn on: 1-9-10 | Teaser promo for what I'm currently calling the "CER 2010 Prison Arc" for lack of a better name. Creators' Earth Realm, a club I'm in on deviantART, put up a little update notice about a Purger prison... and my cogs started turning into overdrive. I got a great idea for a huge, epic three-part event, and got the go-ahead to work with it. I'm not posting this picture on DA until I'm closer to starting it up, but anyway, this is my little teaser promo.The character in the foreground is Fay Lan, my CER character. (She's a Descendant, and therefore one of the ones the Purgers are hunting and seeking to lock away... or kill... or worse...) God, that perspective killed me. I know it's not quite right, but it's a first attempt and I couldn't find a tutorial or reference pic ANYWHERE. I looked, but I must just be a horrible net searcher, 'cause I got nothing, even though I know there have to be references for poses like this out there somewhere.
As for the background, that tower is the prison. It's situated in an artificial valley with very steep sides; Fay Lan is standing on the plateau above it, so it stretches out far beneath her, and it's actually rather far away from her. And those are vultures circling overhead. I thought it was a nice touch. XD Obviously, Fay Lan is not stupid enough to stand there like that, I just thought it was dramatic.
