Drawn on: 7-4-10 | Not a great sketch. Been reading too much manga, keep creating Japanese characters in my head. (I love Japanese names.) Tried to draw his buddy Ayakuro Ryousuke, but he turned out... really... he looked a lot like Terran, and if you remember Terran, he was a not-so-bright barbarian. And yeah, if you were wondering, as usual, I put Japanese names in the Japanese order of family name first. It's a little embarrassing how much I'm attached to Japanese language and culture, considering my father's family is Chinese (and greatly dislike the Japanese), but even though I can't read Japanese and my speech and understanding are very limited (in writing even more so, 'cause I can say some things I can't spell), everything I do know is quite ingrained in me. Sometimes, when I can't think of a word in English, it'll come out in Japanese. And I've literally spent ten minutes trying to think of how to say "yes" in Spanish, something I've known forever, pulling my hair out because the only word that will come to my mind or tongue is "hai." And if I try to speak a foreign word, it's in a Japanese accent. Always. It's pathetic. I tried to learn some German once, and got laughed at sorely.
