Drawn on: 7-6-10 | Kiyu Linnassen and Mayu Goodness-only-knows-what. My good friend from Japanese class and D&D gaming buddy for a little while, Aisha-chan, moved to Florida the other day, so as a goodbye present I asked her what she wanted me to draw. She requested a picture of our two D&D Encounters characters, Kiyu and Mayu, together. (Kiyu's last name wasn't my choice, my brother played Kiyu's sister Isala, and he chose the name.) Kiyu is an Elf Fighter and Mayu is a Human Cleric. She was pretty clingy on him, but he's too socially clueless to figure anything out. Aisha-chan informed me on the night of her farewell dinner (when I gave her the picture, along with Mayu's character sheet) that Mayu always had a crush on Kiyu, we just hadn't made that fact official before. I found it amusing. The old Kiyu would probably have Mayu pulling on his shirt like that and just look over with a face saying "huh?" and a mouth completely silent. I had to change his personality after Encounters ended, because Isala got rebuilt and Mayu became my character, so Kiyu couldn't play with either of them anymore. (His personality is hard to roleplay without someone else who understands it giving you chances to say things, 'cause he's relatively quiet, just socially inept in a really unique way.) I changed him to be a few years more experienced and therefore more comfortable with non-Elf culture, so the "new Kiyu" as I dub him would probably have Mayu pulling on his shirt like that and ask, "Why exactly are you trying to undress me?"
