Drawn on: 6-1-10 | This is a guy. I know you don't believe me, but it is. He is intentionally effeminate; he's the "daughter" of his family. (He has three brothers.) Anyway, here's where I have to explain myself a little better, because Kaguya is in the same existence as Shinobu earlier. It's a weird idea where setting and characters came to me, but story didn't.The setting is a fictional place called Dreil Kingdom, and Kaguya, the first character I made in the setting, is the second prince. (He has one older brother and two younger.) I realize Kaguya is usually a girl's name, and by usually, I mean I only saw it used as a boy's name once, and that boy happened to be mistaken for a girl almost constantly. However, the name gave me Kaguya's dreamlike appearance, and also their family name, since Kaguya-hime was the moon princess and Tsukiyomu is a slight modification from the name of the moon god, Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto. (I decied to change it to Tsukiyomu instead of Tsukiyomi because every time I wrote Tsukiyomi I thought of Ikuto.) As a note, I don't usually use Japanese names when I make characters, because that's rather cliche, but Shinobu was supposed to be Japanese, and I just ended up carrying that over to the Dreil royal family because I really like Japanese names and don't get to use them very often.
Anyway, as I said, Kaguya is kind of the "daughter/sister" of the family (the queen mother is dead, so the only biological woman in the family is the eldest son's pregnant wife). He's not "girly," he's "feminine." As in, he wouldn't scream in a high-pitched voice, listen to teenybopper music, or adore pink sparkly things. Instead, he's feminine as in elegant, graceful, and more like a mature woman. He is gentle and idealistic, and adores the idea of a simple family life, since his was always rather cold. For that reason, he gets along with the Agatsumas (Shinobu, Takumi, and Tatsuya), who have had no one but each other for the last four years and are a very tight-knit family of siblings. He attaches to Shinobu in particular, since Shinobu is the acting dad of the family.
